Didem Ergin, MA, LPCC, is a Boulder, Colorado–based psychotherapist, author, and educator specializing in trauma, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, and contemplative psychology.

She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, where her training integrated Western psychotherapy with contemplative and transpersonal psychology. Originally trained as an engineer, Didem earned degrees from Middle East Technical University and the University of Alabama before transitioning into the mental health field.

Her clinical work draws on Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology, compassion-based practices, Gestalt therapy, and nervous system regulation. She has completed advanced training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, including mentorship with Dr. Laia Jorba, with a particular focus on trauma, implicit memory, attachment, and the body.

Didem also completed long-term training through Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) and was recognized as a Compassion Ambassador.

Her own journey through breast cancer deepened this work beyond theory; these teachings became a lived source of support, allowing her to understand compassion, resilience, and healing not only through clinical knowledge, but through direct experience.

She is the founder of Dönüşen Zihin (Transforming Mind), a Turkish-language psychoeducation platform focused on trauma, mindfulness, self-compassion, emotional resilience, and nervous system regulation. She is also the author of two Turkish-language books on self-compassion and psychological transformation.

Today, Didem provides psychotherapy in English and Turkish and continues to teach and write at the intersection of trauma, embodiment, compassion, and psychological transformation.
